Thank you for stopping by our web site. Please stay to read. We are planning a three-day immersion in doll making, one with more variety and choices. 'Choices', being the optimum word!

We hope this will be a time, YOUR time, to enjoy old friends and meet new ones. A time where each attendee feels just like family, relaxed and cherished. Especially, it is a time to learn new techniques and refine the tried and true; and a time to share Laughter.

Your $190.00 will include a relaxing and informative Welcome Party, 3 days of exciting classes, lots of choices for new and different Demos & Mini Classes, Ribbons, Raffle, a Sales Room full of goodies, and a fantastic Banquet and Auction Finale!

The first night, Thursday, we will introduce you to our teachers, our mini class and demo leaders. There will be a light snack after your long trip and a cooling beverage. Oh yes, and the ever-necessary chocolate! There will be tables set up where you can see just what the mini classes are all about and make an informed choice for your evening activities. Sign up sheets that include the day and time of these will be provided.

And after the activity of the night there is a lovely grassy knoll, complete with tables and chairs where you can gather each evening. Conversation is interesting and you cannot begin to know where it will turn! The laughter will clear your hearts and minds for the coming day.

Our teachers have been carefully chosen to indulge your desire for learning:

Mary Tressler is a master of teaching both newbies and returning students. There is never a dull moment in her classes, I know. The first time Mary came to Albuquerque to teach I remember meeting one of her students in the hall. She was just dancing with excitement and a grin split her face. She was cradling her very first completed doll and announced with great pride, and she stands all by herself!

Nancy Gawron is the master of making critters, as she calls them. Have you seen her snow-white unicorn or her rearing black horse with the flashing eyes? Her small puppies and kittens are so perfect you can tell the breed at one glance. And wait until you see her Pan, the imp of the deep, dark forest!

Sherry Goshon is the busiest and most prolific artist it has ever been my pleasure to meet. She will open your eyes to the possibilities of new products and techniques that you can and will absorb to use in your own particular way. And all this is accomplished with a smile!

Oh, yes, there will be a Sales Room filled with all the goodies you could need or just want! Who does not desire only a few more things to add to her stash?

What would a doll retreat be without a final Banquet? We have one planned! There will be award ribbons, raffle and silent auction winners announced, and an auction of the Banquet Dolls!!! With Patti Page weaving her magic spell, the bidding will be enthusiastic. You, the winner, will take home one more memory of a delightful and laughter filled three days.

Lastly, I mention we will endeavor to make your stay here in Albuquerque as comfortable as possible. If you are flying in, we will make sure your trips to and from the hotel are painless. Should you choose to stay at the hotel, there will be a complimentary breakfast. Maps showing you points of interest will be provided . There are several restaurants within walking distance and stores are near by. We will have some willing drivers to take you there. A sign up sheet will be posted. The hotel has vans to take a group to Old Town or to a more-distant restaurant, if you wish.

If you choose to drive, we have a list of near-by KOA's where you may stay.

If you are from the area, you can choose to go home each evening to your very own bed. These choices are yours.

There will be plans for your spouses should they choose to get away from the hotel. They do not need to laze about. Albuquerque in April can be just right for a round of golf or exploring ancient ruins. How about a visit to one of our many museums or a short trip to see a wonderful collection of old cars? There is always a trip to the Sandia Crest aboard the tram. The view is breathtaking!!!
